What do canadians have against two-tiered health care systems?

Would it be able to work out if the private clinics were regulated by the government so that they don't have better doctors and equipment than the public hospitals and organ donations couldn't be sold to the highest bidder

  1. I think the problem is that people with more money would get treated first, implying that they are better or more important to the world...whether or not that's true doesn't matter, but it's the perception of it that's the real problem. Also, I can't see the "upper class" wanting to bother with the upper tier system if it doesn't mean having better equipment and the ability to pay for earlier transplants; there'd be no real benefit to supporting it.
  2. Why don't you jsut appoint a dictator then. That's the kindof society you're advocating.
